Benzimidazole is a bicyclic heterocyclic aromatic compound in which benzene fused to imidazole moiety. holds vital role the field of medicinal chemistry possesses wide variety pharmacological activities like antibacterial, anti cancer, antifungal, antileishmanial, tubercular, viral and malarial respectively, hence benzimidazole moiety attracting chemist synthesize different derivatives with activities. The book chapter mainly discussed HIV, antileishmanial tubercular activites recently synthesized derivatives.
